Promise Yourself – The Optimist Creed

Wednesday, July 28th, 2010

Wonderful creed to live by and that is why I am sharing this.

Promise yourself to be strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.

To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person you meet.

To make all your friends feel that there is something in them.

To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.

To think only of the best, to work only for the best.

To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.

To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.

To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile.

To give so much to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others.

To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.

To think well of yourself and to proclaim this fact to the world, not in loud words but great deeds.

To live in faith that the whole world is on your side so long as you are true to the best that is in you.

Positive Life Changes

Wednesday, July 28th, 2010

How do you manage change in your life? Changes are essential because they open new doors to opportunity and they create room for adjustments. Accept change because without it, your life may become lackluster and cheerless.

Everyone experiences change, whether it is a change in their job, relationship or health. It may even be a change you initiated that may suddenly seem daunting.

Practice being good at change and always focus on the positive. Sometimes it may take some time to realize that a specific change of circumstance was actually a gift in disguise. The gift you receive may not even be related, in any way, to the change you experienced. For example, you may lose your job but find yourself in a rewarding new relationship would never have taken shape if you were still employed.

Change may lead you to new people, help you develop a stronger belief in yourself, provide you with new opportunities, or inspire you to live a healthier life.

It’s important to be on the lookout for the good that can transpire from unexpected changes.
